One of the most significant transformations took place in the kitchen, where we completely reconfigured the layout to improve both functionality and visual impact.

The original kitchen felt closed off and lacked a central focal point. By redesigning the layout, we were able to create:

The most unique element of the space is the master bathroom, where we introduced micro-cement wall finishes—a material rarely used in Austin residential construction.

Micro-cement offers the aesthetic of plaster while providing:

The goal was to create spaces that feel elevated and intentional, while still remaining flexible enough to function as kids’ bathrooms, guest bathrooms, or shared family spaces.

One of the bathrooms features Zia Tile, a handcrafted material known for its bold character and distinctive patterns. Installing Zia Tile requires a high level of precision and experience due to its handmade nature, and our team has developed the expertise needed to execute it beautifully while maintaining clean lines and consistent spacing.

Another bathroom incorporates classic subway tile, offering a timeless look that balances durability with a clean, modern aesthetic. This design choice ensures the space feels both stylish and highly functional for everyday use.

The third guest bathroom showcases a more sculptural design element: custom-cut Italian stone integrated directly into the sink and vanity. By carrying this stone through the vanity and basin as a continuous piece, the bathroom becomes a visual focal point that can be appreciated even from the adjacent living areas.

Together, these bathrooms reflect the philosophy behind the entire Barton Creek renovation—each space thoughtfully designed with premium materials, expert craftsmanship, and an emphasis on both beauty and functionality.
